“A wealth of material... How to choose is the problem”
So we have a gig to do. Better pick the songs!
“Sometimes, we may feature all or parts of albums released by Pink Floyd. Often it’s a “best of” scenario that pleases all round” TED
WISH YOU WERE HERE.
A TIME TO REFLECT
We often get requests to remember people during WYWH and are always happy to oblige when we can.
Our 2017 Customs House projection featured amongst others - Syd Barrett, Richard Wright, Mary & Jim Jones, George Wood, Richard Man, Chloe & Ian and Bradley Lowery.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience.
Or on the stage.
There is no doubting the amount of material that is available to choose from. How do we choose? Well - it’s a consensual decision made by the Band. Some songs which were recorded were a little weird to say the least. Often chance occurrences during recording were not able to be reproduced well enough in situ. Also, we have to cater for the majority by following Mr Spock’s famous “the needs of the many” speech.
Occasionally, as in 2007 we may feature an entire album in our performance. Reproducing the ANIMALS album was a special task and we still feature DOGS and SHEEP in our current set.
We have featured songs from SEE EMILY PLAY to RATTLE THAT LOCK.
It’s all up for grabs. What do you want from me? Yup! That as well...
An after show pow-wow with The Diamonds on stage… there is a great buzz for us as performers in that small moment when the gig is over and everyone is both excited and relieved at that fact…
This is what enjoying music and live performance is about.
